There were 16 graduates, of which 13 have accepted career positions. In addition, HAAPE paid to establish and maintain the Aspiritech Academy database as part of the "HAAPE Hub." This revolutionary digital platform is a joint effort with Aspiritech and will formulate and maintain a specific database designed to connect operating partners, employers, and jobseekers across the autism employment ecosystem. Additional payments to Aspiritech will cover two more training cohorts to take place in FY 2025, covering certain aspects of cybersecurity. We expect that at least 90% of those who successfully complete the courses will obtain appropriate and sustainable career opportunities. Finally, HAAPE provided seed funding ($25,000) for development of the 10-week Cybersecurity Academy for Autistic people. This development is completed, and a pilot cohort is underway. less

This is the fourth license that HAAPE has funded such that Drexel joins Broward College, Palm Beach State College and AMSkills, Inc., where autistic adults can learn how to become a Computer Network Control (CNC) Operator. Once a student successfully completes the course, follow up includes finding full-time career employment for all graduates of the program. For the training of CNC operators, our investment activity actually slowed somewhat because of the difficulty in coordinating an appropriate and sustained teaching infrastructure with qualified instructors, as the process is necessarily slow. Hopefully there will be more opportunities to expand this program in the near future. less

The overall course consists of 8 separate modules that focus on different subjects falling under the supply chain umbrella. Students can take each course at their own pace and at a remote location. Students must pass a test which is given at the end of each section. Those who pass any of the 8 courses receive their official certification and can then qualify for career opportunities. Since supply chains in the United States have been seriously disrupted by the Covid pandemic in 2020-21 and by the tariff negotiations in 2025, manufacturing and service-related companies are very interested in hiring these graduates. In FY 2024, HAAPE provided scholarships for 23 students covering 40 separate certifications. less
